The Steel Spire

Synopsis: The closest thing the Solara Imperium has to a god, the Steel Spire is not a being, but a structure of spiritual resonance, its base forged from the blades of fallen heroes, its peak unseen, always reaching. Every citizen contributes to its metaphorical height by fulfilling their role in the Imperium. The Spire is said to "record" the heat of martyrdom, hard work, and servitude and transform it into divine permanence. In ritual, names of the fallen are engraved into alloy tablets, sealed in vaults near the emperor that ring like bells when war draws near.
